As the Chapter Closes

It marks a chapter for my life because I was a kid ten years back then. Many changes happened especially in recent years.

My secondary years when I was still a struggling teen with an identity crisis.
My poly years where I fought my way to find power and experience.
My serving-the-nation years where I was smashed into a box labeled 'adulthood'.

I'm glad where I am today, thanking myself for making the right decisions. I chiseled my character into someone I like and deep down I admire this person for making the changes and became who he is.

Sadly, I will spend my next decade studying; slightly afraid of the outside world and grateful to be sheltered under the big umbrella called Education and moving to a much bigger umbrella later called Academia.

There will be no resolutions next year because I don't feel obliged to change! Just the need to push for the scholarship cash. Basically I'm gonna ferociously fight for my chances in getting one award/scholarship because that solves my incoming financial difficulties.

Woud be summing up the year very soon! I never knew this year would be short and over ( I thought it would was going to be sucky and painful! )

My 1-Week Break Is Over

I used to have months long breaks after my exams but it seems that now i just have to get used to this kind of short breaks for another year. Then once my uni starts again i will have more free time! But to work!

Australia. Set. Bintan trip. Set. I'm therefore cruising toward 2010! YAY! Finally a relieved way to end this year...

New Energy

Yay I'm back after some downturn and I found a source of energy!

I found a student to tutor and that is my source. It reminds me how much I need to continue to push on for the time ahead, and not let empty spaces fill my time.

Felt bad for letting Jill do all the planning yesterday so this da nu ren bought the tickets, chose the location, collected them and have to wait for me because I was late! The only thing I could do is to make her feel that her time is worth it and treat her. Not sure if I could go to her birthday?

Anyway I maybe going Bali! Yay!!!

Tired

Tired of everything. I need some other sources to renew my energy. No energy to write more.

The Proposal

I waited months for this show and I have to say I'm quite happy to watch it. This rom-com involves a family so it directs along the line of Maid of Honor and Dan in Real Life. Humour is squeaky and cheesy. But the development of Margaret's character has led to limited dialogue between Marg and Andrew. What I want to see more was angry bitch fighting and embarassing sticky situations, not stripper clubs and touchy scenes.

So Dan in Real Life is still my fav rom-com up till now. I gonna skip Jennifer Aniston's Management but not The Ugly Truth by Katherine Heigl. In Sept of course. Gonna catch Coco before Chanel first.

Blogging at last

I had a good weekend, meeting up with joanne and gang. Thx Joanne for organising the dinner! Btw I dunno ur new blog oops...

Great time at Vivocity shopping at River island, Fox, Pull n Bear, etc. Window shopping is comsidered shopping too okay..

I'll be starting to read some lecture notes in camp as I'm really starting to forget the bio stuff. Its been more than a year you see.

Next week I'll be watching the Proposal! Finally and so who wants to watch with me? It can be a movie date so I'll treat you! :]

Gone broke

Finally a happy long weekend! Met up with everyone :] poly frens will be next week...

Spent on everything I wanted to yet did not spend on the unnecessary. My white choc maca nut cookie got overshadowed by donuts during the picnic. oops so many leftovers.. If only I've 1 more day off. i could go window shop on my own.

anyway i've learnt to solve my own problems :) thats really essential to be independent! G.I Joe is average.

Movies

I have countless night duties but I used the time to watch Resident Evil (1,2,3) and X-Men (1,2,3), Yes Man, Bride Wars, etc.. And also Friends.. I'm at Season 10 already! Finally and sadly gonna complete watching that sitcom.

I can't wait for the picnic, guys. Planning to make teriyaki chicken burritos.

Blogging

Many people stopped blogging once they started working. Its not because they've become more busy but they think they should blog about work, which is boring and that is unnecessary true.

I can't blog about my 'work' but i still managed to blog about stuff that happen during my weekends etc. To me it is a form of literary relief to write. Pardon my English though.

I watched Sunshine Cleaning and its somehow different from Little Miss Sunshine. It talks more about revelations in life which I feel is important; as people should move on and lead better lives.

Have to thank Sharon and Jill for my belated belated present which I liked it (even though I still have my reservations of wearing it into public). The dinner at Fish & Co. was great not just because of the company of you guys but also sharing food is something wonderful.

My New Bag

My new bag arrived! Direct from Hong Kong :] Its well worth the money compared to those bags I saw in orchard road. Ok was about to upload an image of my bag from the website but it seems that they took that item off already because I bought it! Haha

I will be finding a tailor to modify some old military-style clothes into childrens shorts and pants. Hopefully I can get it done by this year. Don't know much it cost though...

See this is another short post. Oh its going nowhere
